Collaborator
Opening an invitation
Open the link you were sent. The page says you are invited. It names the person who sent it and the estate. When the invitation names a role, it says so. Access on your contact (estate administrator, collaborator, or read-only) decides what you can change after you join.
The invitation page offers Log in and Create account.
Choose Log in when you know you have already had access to another estate on The Estate Path. That includes an estate you look after yourself. Enter the email and password on that account, or choose Continue with Google if that is how you signed up, so this estate opens on the same profile.
Create account
Choose Create account when you have not had access to an estate on The Estate Path, or when you are unsure. You can sign up with Google, or with your name, email address, and a password.
First name and last name
Your name is stored on the account. People who can open the estate can see who accepted the invitation.
This is how you sign in the next time. Use an address you can open. If an account with that email already exists, The Estate Path asks you to log in instead of creating a second one.
Password
It is how you return to this account. Choose one you have not used elsewhere, and keep it to yourself.
Verify your email
After you create an account with a password, The Estate Path emails you a six-digit code. Enter it to confirm your address and finish signing in. If the code does not arrive, use Resend code.
The link works once someone has accepted it for that email. Sending a new link for the same email replaces the previous one. If it says the invitation is no longer available, ask the estate administrator for a new one.
